Listen to your body
To get the maximum benefit from any body treatment means being honest about how you feel – and want to feel after a treatment. If you’re new to massage and want complete relaxation, go for something like Therapeutic Swedish Massage or Indian Head Massage; both are firm but relaxing. Stronger massages are ideal for people used to massage and into sport and fitness – and whilst extremely beneficial, can be a little ‘painful’ for the uninitiated.

Sports Massage Leeds
My focus is on Remedial Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Therapeutic Swedish Massage and Trigger Point Massage for chronic pain and injury prevention from sports or postural work related issues.
You can request a specific massage method ie: Remedial Sports massage, Deep Tissue Massage or you can simply describe any issues you are experiencing, such as neck & shoulder pain, lower back pain or ITB syndrome, and allow the me to create an optimum treatment plan that will address your needs.
Over last 9 years I have provided my services to an array of clients in based in Leeds, from professional footballer players from Leeds United, Barnsley, Sheffield United, to professional performance artists and dancers from Northern Contemporary School of Dance and Leeds Grand Theatre, to triple AAA finance houses.
Remedial Sports massage and Deep Tissue massage is suitable for anyone involved in physical activity. During training, bodies are under constant strain, involving muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints which may potentially lead to injury and hinder performance. Before any major sporting event, you will be under physical, mental and emotional stress. Pushing your body to its maximum potential leads to muscle tension, fatigue and build up of lactate in blood.
Both Remedial Sports massage and Deep Tissue massage is anatomy-based and employs various massage techniques to release trigger points (knots), relieve delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS), reduce muscle tightness, enhance recovery, and prevent injuries. These treatments are both, by nature, very intense, working very deep in to the muscle fibers.
Further more the massages will assist circulation and tissue drainage, stretch muscle and fascia and soothe painful or sore areas. It is also used for reducing local swelling and loosening adhesions between tissues. In intense physical activity our body is subjected to insufficient oxygen supply to meet energetic demand that leads to over production of lactate acid in blood. Both massage treatments help to facilitate clearance of lactate from tissue by increasing lymphatic movement. Therefore both Remedial Sports massage and Deep Tissue massage often become an integral part of recovery, injury prevention and injury management strategy; why wait until an injury occurs?
The key to your pain relief is understanding the cause of your symptoms through holistic assessment, treating related contracted muscle and fascia and increasing your awareness of what you can do to contribute to your own health and well-being. I have an in depth understanding of anatomy and physiology of human body in order to identify the type of technique to use for its utmost effect.
For those looking for more of a relaxing treatment while still working through some underling issues Therapeutic Swedish Massages, Indian Head Massage and Onsite Chair Massage are great options. They are a lighter treatment but still effective in increasing circulation and relieve tension from daily stresses in our busy modern lives.
